Work, Jobs and Industry

At ShoreTrack we are always excited to work in conjunction with local businesses. From workplace visits through to orientation and information days and on to placements and employment for our young people, so many businesses have provided invaluable support to ShoreTrack.

Here are some of the stories and feedback.

As we approach the end of another successful year, I wanted to take the time to thank the Shoretrack team for their ongoing support for the youth of our community, and in turn the solid partnership Express Coach Builders & Shoretrack have built.
For years now, Express Coach Builders & Shoretrack have worked together to provide local young people opportunities to partake in work place experience, integrating with the programs run by Shoretrack.
At the end of 2024, we had four young men from the Shoretrack program trial at Express Coach Builders for a traineeship position in 2025. I am delighted to advise that not only are all 4 boys nearing the completion of their Certificate II Engineering – Fabrication, but they will also be offered apprenticeships for 2026.
We have found the kids that come to us from Shoretrack are positioned very well to transition into the working environment – these kids hit the ground running, and with the skills already learned at Shoretrack, they are able to slide quickly into our production teams saving us precious time in teaching the basics.
A true success story for Shoretrack and Express.
