ShoreTrack works with young people, especially those who are at risk of disengaging or no longer engaged in employment, education, or training, experiencing significant disadvantages.
Young people are referred to ShoreTrack by themselves, schools, family, community, the Transition to Work program, or community services agencies and we work closely with community and industry to provide hands-on work projects and activities focussed on community and local industry needs which help young people achieve employment outcomes.
We provide these young people (aged 10-25 years old) with the holistic, flexible and long-term support they need to re-engage back at school and community, in education or training, or on pathways to employment.
Our support helps young people to:
• Better understand their own skills and interests and the pathways and opportunities that may be available to them in the new world of work.
• Build trades skills.
• Build employability skills such as teamwork, punctuality, reliability, cooperation, and problem solving.
• Explore career options that suit their abilities and interests and help them re engage back into education
• Understand and meet the expectations that employers have of job applicants.
• Improve job search, job application and interview skills.
• Identify and follow employment opportunities in their local community.

Our Methodology
We believe by putting young people at the centre of decisions around what industry or skills they focus on will build passion and engagement in the learning process, making our programs a successful pathway to employment.
Wrap Around support
Providing transport, a healthy breakfast and lunch, mentoring, driving lessons, access to specialist support and work experience and a safe and supportive learning environment helps our young people address challenges which have been barriers to them in the past.
