SEFA (Social Enterprise Finance Australia) features ShoreTrack
In a recent post on LinkedIn, SEFA, talks about how ShoreTrack’s impact accelerated after taking part in one of their programs.
This was the EmpowerHER program that took ShoreTrack’s income from $28,000 to $132,000 over the course of one year.

Steel Caps In Sydney
Thanks to a grant from YHA’s Travel to Learn Foundation, and donations from our local community, in early November 2025 we took a group of our young people to Sydney for a week of learning, connection and opportunity.
They were supported by 3 of our staff, and for some of these young people, it was their first time leaving the Valley to experience a mix of educational workshops, industry exposure, and team-building activities.

White Box Enterprises features ShoreTrack
In a recent post on LinkedIn, White Box Enterprise, talks about how their loan to ShoreTrack through the Social Enterprise Loan Fund (SELF) has enabled ShoreTrack, six months on, to have purchased a property, been endorsed as a Special Assistance Trades School and are now on the cusp of much bigger things.

Tara Anderson, CEO of Social Traders, at Parliament House
In a recent post on LinkedIn, Tara Anderson, CEO of Social Traders attended Parliament House as part of a delegation to talk to representatives across the Commonwealth about the role of government in backing social enterprise. The Assistant Minister for Productivity, Competition, Charities and Treasury Andrew Leigh MP shared his view that: “If we get this right, the phrase ‘business as usual’ will take on new meaning, one where purpose is normal and where profit and progress walk hand in hand. Let’s help social enterprise flourish across Australia. Because the productive power of purpose isn’t just good ethics. It’s good economics.” To read more click here.

Westpac – 2025 Foundations Impact Report
For Westpac Foundation, a standout in 2025 was helping launch the Social Enterprise Loan Fund (SELF) — a first-of-its-kind initiative giving social enterprises the capital and support they need to create more jobs for people facing barriers to work, with the very first loan of $200,000 going to ShoreTrack to help it expand its youth programs.

Wheels to Work
Through a grant from the NSW Government’s Regional Industry Education Partnerships (RIEP), students from local high schools are actively participating in hands-on automotive restoration, providing technical skills, industry exposure, and pathways to employment. Our young people are restoring a vehicle donated by Nambucca Council, fostering job readiness, resilience and engagement.

ShoreTrack has helped the Bello Youth Hub co-ordinate their “Drive The Future” program.
With this innovative and practical program, volunteers supervise young drivers so that they can obtain their drivers licences, removing barriers to jobs, education and independence.

At the beginning of July, the Certificate II Rural Operations crew smashed their practical training during a 5 day block at Tocal Agricultural College – ticking off side-by-sides, quad bikes, basic machinery & equipment and biosecurity.

Sparks flying & skills building!
We’ve just wrapped up the second of three Trades Tasters Program sessions.
Supported by the NSW Government’s Regional Industry Education Partnerships (RIEP), this program gives young people two full days of hands-on experience across all the things ShoreTrack does best: welding, small motors, carpentry, metal fabrication, automotive, and more.

Reconciliation Australia Program (RAP)
Since 2006, Reconciliation Action Plans (RAPs) have enabled organisations to sustainably and strategically take meaningful action to advance reconciliation.
Based around the core pillars of relationships, respect and opportunities, RAPs provide tangible and substantive benefits for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, increasing economic equity and supporting First Nations self-determination.
The four RAP types – Reflect, Innovate, Stretch and Elevate – allow organisations to continuously develop their reconciliation commitments.
ShoreTrack is developing a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) to deepen our commitment to fostering respectful and meaningful relationships with First Nations communities.

ShoreTrack secures first loan from Australia’s new Social Enterprise Loan Fund
White Box Enterprises is excited to announce that their Social Enterprise Loan Fund (SELF) has issued its first loan – a $200,000 investment – to ShoreTrack, to assist with the purchase of their permanent property in Macksville
Launched in March 2025, the SELF is Australia’s first dedicated loan fund for social enterprises that create employment pathways.
A huge thanks to White Box Enterprises and the founding investors of SELF for believing in ShoreTrack’s vision.

Girls Can Too!
Who says girls can’t do it all?
ShoreTrack’s Girls Can Too program is here to prove that building, making, and breaking barriers is exactly what young woman can be doing!
Funding from the NSW Regional Industry Education Partnerships (RIEP) has made 10 weeks of hands-on skills and learning possible for a group of local students – with mentoring from trades qualified staff in CAD, welding, metal fabrication & engineering, concreting, civil carpentry, plumbing & automotive.

ShoreTrack joins People and Planet First
In July 2024, ShoreTrack became a People and Planet First, Verified Social Enterprise through their partnership with SECNA, the Social Enterprise Council of NSW & ACT.
People and Planet First is a “network of networks” stewarded by the Social Enterprise World Forum (SEWF), a non-profit social enterprise that has been supporting the social enterprise movement since 2008.
